Summary: We've just returned home to the UK after three fabulous weeks in Peru. We visited Lima, The Amazon Rainforest, Lake Titicaca and Arequipa - but without a doubt, what made our trip extra-special was the eight days we spent in the company of Hernan and Isaac. Whilst with Hernan we visited The Sacred Valley, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, Moray and Salinas de Maras. I hiked the 'One-day Inca Trail ' to Machu Picchu with Hernan before returning to Machu Picchu the following morning with my wife (and Hernan). I also ascended Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain) with Hernan. Hernan has a lovely personality. He was always punctual, courteous and extremely enthusiastic about his native country. Hernan knew all the best places to take photos and ensured that we were always well-informed and did not miss a thing. His explanations on various scraps of paper at each of the Inca sites were exceptional - always easy to understand and very easy to follow. Hernan and Isaac knew of all the best places to eat - their recommendations were excellent and really added to our Peruvian experience. I can honestly say that our experience would not have been the same without Hernan. If you are planning a trip to Peru, specifically to Cusco, Machu Picchu and The Sacred Valley (including Rainbow Mountain) - then take all the stress away and simply book with Hernan - you won't be disappointed. We consider ourselves fortunate to have travelled extensively - Hernan is, quite simply THE BEST TOUR GUIDE IN THE WORLD....

Summary: I planned my trip to Peru very last minute and only realized too late that tickets to Machu Picchu usually need to be purchased well in advance. I reached out to Hernan in a bit of a panic, and he was incredibly helpful and responsive. He patiently explained the different circuits and walked me through the process of getting last-minute tickets from the Ministry of Culture office in Aguas Calientes. Thanks to his guidance, I was able to secure a ticket just the day before my visit—and even with such short notice, Hernan arranged a guided tour for me with Roberto. Roberto was fantastic—super knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging. He brought the site to life with stories, historical context, and insights that I would have completely missed on my own. If you're going to Machu Picchu—especially if you're navigating a last-minute trip—this team is an absolute lifesaver. Highly recommended!
